Further. is a small music blog by me, Mat Smith.

I am a freelance music journalist writing for Electronic Sound. I also contribute occasionally to Clash, This Is Not Retro and Cold War Night Life. I started a Mute Records blog called Documentary Evidence in 2003 which continues to this day.

Further. started out as a place for me to write about things that just didn’t fit for Documentary Evidence, hence its name is effectively shorthand for further evidence. It is named after a sub-label of Mute / Blast First that A.C. Temple released records on.
